What do I need to bring/wear
to class?

Please bring a yoga/exercise mat to Slow Flow and Morning Yoga Flow and Gentle Slow Flow. While all other props are provided, you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

For Slow Down Sunday Restorative Workshops and Deep Rest Restorative Yoga all props, including mats, are provided. However, I recommend bringing a small cushion for added comfort and support.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement, layers are great, especially as your body will cool down quickly during final relaxation. Yoga is traditionally practised bare foot.

You may also want to bring a bottle of water with you and try and avoid eating a big meal at least an hour before practising.

Do I need to be flexible to practise Yoga?

No, you do not need to be flexible to start yoga.

Flexibility is developed through regular practice, so the more you do yoga, the more flexible you will become.

Many students begin my classes as complete beginners with limited flexibility and they see improvement week after week.

I provide various options to suit your body and we always begin classes with a warm-up that includes stretching.
